COMBE MARTIN POOL LEAGUE

Combe Martin Pool League probably boasts the biggest number of teams playing with Blue Moon Cues in the country.  Like thousands of leagues around the U.K. it is run by a small band of hard working committee members.  

Though only a small village, there is no shortage of pubs, all of which put on free grub after every game.

Congratulations to last seasons 1st division Champions `Bottom Bud's` and 2nd division Champions `4 Get It`.  Both teams play from the Bottom George, and as the 2nd division team beat the 1st division team in last seasons knock-out cup, it should prove to be two very interesting derby fixtures this year!

Click to enlarge	CRACKPOTS.  Just about stayed in division one this year by the skin of their teeth when they had a lucky 5-0 win against Andy`s Andycaps.  Pictured here after their win are from left to right;  Dave `Stabbin` Payne, Vince `Invincible` Irwin, Harry `Potter` Kingston, Roger `Golden Eye` Fleming, Darren `Smudger` Smallridge, and Roger `The Dodger` Adams.
Click to enlarge	SOMETHING FISHY.  Division 2 Champions 2004, Tracey and the boys really showed them the way this year, but will they next year when they are promoted?  They play from the Dolphin Inn and can be seen here with their Blue Moon Cues.  Blue Moon also supplied the balls and recovered the table so we are especially pleased that this team did well this year.  No doubt `Landlord Ernie` will be pleased to fill your cup up too!
Click to enlarge	GARY RICE, Skipper of  `Andy`s Andycaps`. Gary has the distinction of being one of the shortest players in the league, and at only 5ft 3" in height, finds his telescopic cue from Blue Moon Leisure offers him the perfect length, particularly for those long shots down the other end of the table, such as he has in the picture. Forget the talk of retirement Gary!  The boys need you, and your still one of their best players, though that don't say much!
Click to enlarge	TRACEY EVANS and PAUL STEVENS.  Do they look like just good friends??  No of-course not, they are much more then that, they're playing partners in the Combe Martin pool league mixed doubles. About time you got your own pool cue though isn't it Paul? or do you just like holding Tracey's hand?

(No spelling mistake)  Mick plays for the Wino's and from the state of him pictured here, (centre and the one without the glass in his hand !!) taken after the last game of the season, he looks like he needs a good rest.  Mick plays with a Blue Moon telescopic cue and swears by it, every time he misses a shot! Fortunately for his team that hasn't been too often this year.
