MEN'S SINGLES CHAMPION MARK
CLATWORTHY, pictured here on the right has won the trophy now three
years on the trot! Luke Green (on the left) was this years runner-up
and can be seen here giving Mark a very firm hand-shake. They're
good mates though, & both play in the same team, the `Bottom Bud's` at
the Top George, so no hard feelings there then!
They also both play with Blue Moon Cues. Mark plays with a Zodiac
Cue, & Luke with a Voyager Cue, so we were unable to take sides with
this match. Well done to you both!

LADIES SINGLES CHAMPION - JULIE
FRANKS. Julie uses one of our Nova Telescopic Cues & won the
Final 3-0. Julie has recently joined the Fire Service and as the
final was on fire practice night she never had time to change before the
match so can be seen here, playing in her uniform. Steady
Boys!! It probably also helped that most of the fire crew turned out
to support her on finals night as well. |

LADIES DOUBLES CHAMPIONS -
CHARMIAN CHUGG & JUSTINE BLACKMORE. Sisters Charmian &
Justine won their match 3-0 to show they are a class act, and both play
with Telescopic Cues. It is not only their cues that they are
extending though, as they both have growing families it is likely that
their off-spring will provide plenty of good players in the Combe Martin
Pool League in the future too! |

MIXED DOUBLES CHAMPIONS - KAREN
WATSON & MARTIN WEST. Karen had very bad nerves before this
game, and it didn't help that she had to wait until the last match of the
night to play. She had nothing to worry about though, as Martin
calmed her down enough for them to come through winners against Justine
Blackmore & Graham Staddon. Fortunately Justine's disappointment
of losing was made lighter because she had won the Ladies
Doubles.
All 4 players in this final used Blue Moon Cues, and Karen said
that her `Quaser` Telescopic cue is the best she's ever had.

LADIES DOUBLES RUNNERS-UP
- TRACEY AND KATIE EVANS. Continuing the `Sisters Act` final
of this competition, it would be interesting to know if 2 pairs of sisters
have ever competed in this final before. Though these girls may have been
runners-up in this years competition, they are still winners! Both
play for Something Fishy from the Dolphin Inn, and they won the Second
Division Championship this year so they still have something to celebrate.
Katie used to `borrow` Tracey's cue (as sisters do!) but was made to
get her own after Tracey discovered it slightly damaged, even though Katie
didn't do it of-course! So now they both play with `Seven Ball` cues
from Blue Moon which are now in our `End-of Line` cue section, and are on
offer with a free box case.
