Robby
Foldvari is three times World Champion for Australia and has spent the
majority of his time overseas for the past 16 years competing with the
world's best at snooker and billiards. He has appeared on television many
times around the world, sometimes with television audiences of tens of
millions of people.
Robby has won so many championships, it's hard to know where to start. In 1986, Foldvari won the World Professional Billiards Championship making him the only other person from Australia along with Walter Lindrum to win the World Professional Billiards Championship. For this, Foldvari was runner up to Pat Cash in the Herald Caltex Sportsman of the Year Award. Robby's baby cue is at the M.C.G. Sports Museum. Robby has also won a WPBSA sanctioned professional snooker tournament defeating Darren Morgan in the final, 8-1 in Clacton, England. Robby has played all over
the world including the U.K., Thailand, India, Canada, Holland, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Belgium, Russia, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus and China. In late 1996, Foldvari was Captain of the Australian World Cup Snooker Team winning the most amount of frames in the round robin section for his country, which was played in Thailand for $1million Prize money. On past results and current World rankings, it is easy to see why Robby is widely regarded as the WORLDS BEST COMBINED BILLIARDS AND SNOOKER PLAYER. Robby is an official coach of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association which led him coaching in China. He has also been National Coach of Singapore when they won their first ever Gold medal in the South East Asian Games. Robby is the director of the AUSTRALASIAN CUESPORT ACADEMY. |
